Thought: Cheney

Dick Cheney, you’ve done it again. I’m glad the government doesn’t care what citizens think… maybe that’s a good indication of why we’re in the mess we’re in. I can’t believe this guy was on a ticket with George W. Bush and got elected. And re-elected. The Dream Team?

Thought: 4000 WHAT!?

4000 Americans have now been killed in Iraq. Yes, that’s right. FOUR THOUSAND. In case you were wondering, Dick Cheney, that’s over a thousand more than those killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks. So the question I’m having a very hard time answering is, what is this for? Are these pre-dominantly young lives being taken from us for a just cause? For progress? Or are we back at square one after each and every day of American sweat and apparently blood being poured into desert sand?  The truth is that America’s security is no better off today than it was in September of 2001 and you know what? It’s probably worse. 4,000 of our citizens who have been exported to fight a war that was supposed to “protect” us are now gone. As of today, around 505 billion dollars are gone. Try and fathom what kind of lives we have lost in 4,000 human beings. Try and perceive the disgusting amount of money that has gone to waste. Try to imagine what even a portion of that money could do for our embarrassing economy.  We are not wanted in Iraq. We are not winning in Iraq. There is nothing to win! We have created a new terrorist group instead of eliminating terror and every day that we remain there is a testament to the arrogance of the Bush administration and its blindness in its failures even as they are flashed before them with the body bags of our heroes who would die for our pride and the perception of our freedom.
